2018 Year of True Stories
From Kim Mahood’s Craft for a Dry Lake, to Margaret Kemarre Turner’s Iwenhe Tyerrtye, to Marie Munkara’s Of Ashes & Rivers that Run to the Sea; the Northern Territory has a rich history of literature that weaves narrative with non-fiction to tell stories about culture, place and identity.
In 2018 the NT Writers’ Centre will deliver a series of focus workshops for writers working in the rich field of true stories. From archival material to memory and memoir; from books that record culture and story, to long-form journalism and essays.
Look out for workshops in 2018 from Jo van Os, Anna Krien, Rebecca Starford, and Kim Mahood. More to be announced.
