Rita Horanyi
Rita Horanyi is a Magyar-Australian literary critic, creative programmer and curator, with an interdisciplinary PhD in Comparative Literature/Sociology. From 2022-2024, she was the Artistic Director of the NT Writers Festival, curating three festivals, two in Darwin and one in Mparntwe/Alice Springs. In 2018, she was the recipient of an emerging critics fellowship at Sydney Review of Books, funded by the Copyright Agency Cultural Fund. She has published essays and reviews in Sydney Review of Books, Hungarian Literature Online, Limelight Magazine, and imprint, as well as experimental fiction in the anthology, If We’re Talking Budapest. In 2021 she was the Editorial Assistant at Off The Leash, Newsletter Editor for Asymptote, an online journal of translated literature, and part of the editorial team of Transnational Literature. She is currently on the editorial board for Journal of Language, Literature and Culture (JLLC) and is an affiliate member of the J.M. Coetzee Centre for Creative Practice at the University of Adelaide.
