Emcille
Since arriving to the Territory in 1999, Emcille immersed herself in the cultural fabric, volunteering in numerous events. However, it wasn’t until 2020 when she crossed paths with James Mangohig and Caiti Baker that her true artistic potential was unlocked. With their guidance, Emcille discovered songwriting, crafting melodies that mirror her myriad personas – from her cultural roots to her roles as a mother and a woman embracing her identity.
Through her music, Emcille aspires to empower the next generation, especially young women, showing them that their multifaceted nature is a strength. She encourages them to pursue their passions without fear of judgment, believing that managing multiple roles is not only possible but empowering. Emcille is a Filipino multi-faceted artist whose journey from a small fishing village in the Philippines to Australia has been as diverse as her talents.
