Ben Tyler
Ben Tyler is a Bininj man who grew up on Gagudju (Kakadu) country learning about the land and bush tucker on his mother’s country, Murumburr, in central Kakadu National Park. In 2010, Ben worked as Park Ranger in Kakadu National Park looking after cultural heritage recording oral histories with Bininj Elders and documenting traditional walking routes and sites, looking after rock art, archiving, and running on-country cultural programs to provide opportunities for intergenerational storytelling and learning. Growing up in Kakadu means freedom, adventure and culture. Today, Ben lives on Larrakia country (Darwin) where he owns and runs his own business Kakadu Kitchen focused on developing healthy beverages included a bottled water range and upcoming alcohol free spirits infusing authentic Kakadu botanical and culture.
