Since the global success of Serial, everyone’s talking about podcasts, and in these days of digital technology it’s a form that anyone can produce. But how do you do it? How do you edit it? And most importantly, how do you hook an audience so they’ll actually listen to it? For this workshop, you’ll need to bring a piece you’ve written about a ‘fringe experience’. With the help of former ABC Open producer will Tinapple and former ABC Radio reporter Sally Bothroyd, you’ll learn how to edit it, record it, and it will then be available for Darwin Fringe Festival 2017 audiences to download! Bring an iPhone or iPad. We’re going to use a free application called Opinion podcasting, so download that as well.
When: Saturday, July 1, 10am-1pm
Where: The NT Writers’ Centre, Frog Hollow Centre for the Arts, 56 Woods Street, Darwin.
