Short stories are a well-loved form of fiction, and one of the most popular categories of the Northern Territory Literary Awards. This workshop is an opportunity to learn more about the form, and be guided on how to make your short story stand out in the crowd.
Sandra Thibodeaux is a playwright and poet. She has written over a dozen plays that have been staged as part of festivals and broadcast on Radio National. Her latest plays include The Lion Tamer (winner of the 2012 Darwin Festival Script Award) and Mr Takahashi (and other falling secrets) (short-listed for the Patrick White Playwright’s Award). Sandra has published four books of poetry, the latest of these being DIRTY H2O (Mulla Mulla Press). Sandra has also been the creative writing lecturer at Charles Darwin University.
